Old Fairgrounds Neighborhood Association

COMMUNITY GARDEN MEETING, JAN. 20

Please join us for an Old Fairgrounds Neighborhood Association meeting to discuss a possible community garden at 444 Liberty St. (near Penn St.)

January 20 (Wednesday)
7pm
Dubbs Memorial Church
5th and Allen Streets

The Allentown Community Garden Task Force, working the SUN*LV (a group that helps start gardens in the Valley), has identified the 444 Liberty St. lot as a promising site. Representatives of the two groups will join us to take the neighborhood's temperature. If we would like to host a garden--and I hope that we do--how would we sustain it? How might OFNA work to support the garden and the neighborhood's two established parks? These are the questions will be trying to answer at the meeting.
